Applicant Seafarer Privacy Notice
A.M. Nomikos Transworld Maritime Agencies S.A. (hereinafter the “Company”), a corporation duly organised and existing under the Laws of the Republic of Panama, having a branch office established at 1 Alamanas Street, 151 25 Maroussi, Greece, will collect, store and process the personal data that you have provided to us in this online application form and in your attached CV and any accompanying documentation for evaluating your working capacity and your fitness for duty.
Also, if we decide that you are eligible for employment, the Company will request you to provide us with some additional personal information which are required in the context of the recruitment process, which include medical test results, criminal records and information on your religious beliefs, in order to ensure that you are suitable and fit for duty and in order for the Company to comply with its legal obligations.
The legal bases for the processing of this personal data are (a) the taking of steps prior to entering into an employment agreement, (b) the Company’s compliance with legal obligations to which it is subject, (c) the assessment of the working capacity of the Applicant, and (d) the Applicant’s express consent.
The Company will not disclose the Applicant’s personal data to other third parties outside the Company. As a matter of exception, access to the Applicant’s personal data may be given to IT service providers that have access to our IT systems in order to provide their services to us, who are bound to process personal data under strict security obligations. Also, if the IT providers that we use are located outside the EU/EEA, the Company will ensure that there is a lawful transfer of your personal data by entering into the standard contractual clauses with them. You can request to receive a copy of the above clauses by sending an email to the Company’s Data Protection Officer, whose details are mentioned below.
Due to the nature of the Company’s business activities, the Company may retain personal data of unsuccessful applicants for a maximum period of three (3) years. If you wish so and you provide your consent below, we may retain your application and your personal data for a maximum period of ten (10) years, in order to consider you for future vacancies.
You have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict to the processing of your personal data, as well as the right to receive your personal data in a structured commonly used and machine readable format and to transmit those data to another party. You also have the right to withdraw your consent provided hereunder at any time. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. Finally, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.
